Christians are called to continually be involved in learning more about God, His love for us and how He would have us live out our lives as followers of Christ. To deepen your knowledge and strengthen your faith, King of Kings offers a variety of Christian education programs for adults. Members and non-members invited to attend.


Foundations: Introduction to the Lutheran Faith

Sundays at 9:30am, Overflow Room

Foundations is an eight-week introductory course that covers what Lutherans believe and why we believe it. At the end of the course, attendees are invited to join King of Kings through adult confirmation and confession of faith. Attendance is required for adult confirmation and is encouraged for transferring members. Members are invited to attend with a guest or as a refresher to their youth confirmation instruction.

LWML – Lutheran Women in Mission

Monthly meetings held Second Monday of each Month, 7:00pm

Join the ladies of the LWML to serve the Lord with gladness and share His message of love with people in all walks of life throughout our community and the world. LWML gatherings share in devotion, fellowship and support local and community missions. The LWML also host several events each year:

  • Ladies Night Out: Dinner and fellowship at local eaterie. Held each July.
  • Advent by Candlelight: A moving event of beautifully decorated tables, desserts, music and fellowship to start the Christmas season. Held first Sunday of December.

Men’s Bible Study

Wednesdays at 6:00pm, Fellowship Hall

All men of the congregation invited to join and dig deeper into the Bible, enjoy Christian fellowship and support and pray for one another. Study held September through May, except during Lent and Adent.


Music Ministries

We have strong music ministries at King of Kings and invite interested members, of all abilities, to join in making beautiful music in glory to God. Instrumentalist are invited to be part of our music ministry during special services. Practices held September through May.

Parent Bible Study

Sunday mornings at 9:30am, Lower level Commons

All parents of Sunday School children and Youth are invited to attend our Parent Bible Study. The group follows a similar study to what children are learning in class, but dives deeper into the Bible and shares in parenting struggles and season of life as they grow in faith together.


Sunday Study

Sundays at 9:30am, Fellowship Hall

The Sunday Study is open to all adults and is led by both Pastors. Catch up on a missed week or listen to previous series through our online archives.


Tuesdays@Noon

Tuesdays at 12pm, Board Room

Bring a lunch and join one of our Pastors at Noon each Tuesday for lunch and some Lutheran learning. This is a lively bunch! Catch up on a missed week or listen to previous series through our online archives. Study held September through May.


Women’s Bible Study

Wednesdays at 6:00pm, Narthex

This Bible study brings together women of all ages to join in weekly fellowship, prayer and support as they journey through various Bible studies together. Each study book is available for purchase. Study held September through May, except during Lent and Adent.


Young Adults Small Group

Meets monthly for off-site gatherings

Twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings... this is for you! Meet up with other young adults in the post-college / pre-family years for friendship and to grow in faith. Activities are generally held off-site at local eateries or establishments and often connects with other Young Adult groups from Lutheran churches around Kansas City.
