Junior Youth
(Grades 6-8)
Our Junior Youth program focuses on opportunities for middle-schoolers to claim their faith as their own. Kids are invited and encouraged to get involved and make friends. Junior Youth programming includes:
- Confirmation education
- Sunday morning Bible study
- Monthly group outings
- Bi-annual LCMS retreats
- Community service opportunities
- Summer servant trip
- Summer camp at Heit’s Point
Junior Youth Bible Study
Meets each Sunday at 9:30am in the Board Room on the lower level. This class complements midweek confirmation classes. Each spring, our 8th Grade confirmand students stand before the congregation and before God to confess their faith in Him as their Lord and Savior.
Junior Youth Events
Plans have been set for our upcoming year. All Junior Youth are invited and encouraged to attend all events. Mark your calendars for fun, sevice and fellowship!
Summer Service Trip
The Jr. Youth make a trip to Wichita, Kansas, each summer to give of their time and share the gospel through a variety of service projects. From cleaning up a local yard for a disabled person to serving meals for the homeless or working a local fair— this servant trip has become a favorite for middle schoolers.
Details and regitration for this event come out in late spring/early summer each year.
